SEO, search engine optimisation is one. Onsite and off site optimisation work done correctly will improve the ranking of a website in the search engines. There are many different aspects that need to be looked at when optimising a site. Good decently written fresh content, keyword focused title tags on every page, optimised text in RSS feeds. Offsite link building is necessary, quality relevant inbound links built up gradually. SEO takes time. It isn’t a one off, it’s an ongoing process. Websites that achieve high ranked search engine positions obviously receive an increase in online enquiries and sales.

If you want a high ranked position straight away and get your site to page 1 on the likes of Google you will need to buy your position through Pay Per Click campaigns on Google AdWords. You create your advert and choose the keywords and phrases related to your ad. When people search Google using one of your chosen keywords your ad will appear as a sponsored listing on the right hand side. This way you are only

advertising to people who are already looking for what you offer.

It works because you can edit your ads and adjust your daily budget whenever you want until you get the desired results. There is no minimum spend either. You only pay when someone clicks on your advert through to your site. The Google analytics tool enables you to see how much traffic your site has had, keywords that are driving traffic, how visitors have found you on the web, online enquiries/sales received.

Social Media sites such as Facebook and Twitter are great online marketing tools. Information is spread very quickly through sites likes these and they are used by millions each day.

Press releases online can reach a big audience. A press release is primarily written to be sent to journalists or bloggers to encourage them to develop a news story or feature article to be published in a magazine, newspaper, journal, blog, news website etc.

Publishing your press release on specific PR websites such as Webwire.com can have the potential to reach hundreds and thousands of readers within a matter of minutes.

Email marketing campaigns are a great way of running a promotion, or launching a new product or incentive. You can target specific business types or consumers. A good example of this would be emailing students with an offer on new Nokia handsets.

Blogging regularly is really important as the search engines love it. Its fresh and original content that meets the demands of people searching the internet. If the blog is updated regularly, lets say every 2 or 3 days, it will keep the search engines coming back. And with the right quality information and keywords it should be driving more traffic to your site.

Eventhough SEO and PPC is the most common mean of internet marketing, it is also true that Press releases as well as email marketing campaign can also be very effective to spread the words about your products and services.
But in this ever challenging internet marketing market, people do need to be on top of it all in order to stand a chance.

There’s so much to learn…however it’s good to specialize in one particular avenue rather than be a jack of all trades and not be great at any one thing.

    2. track your email campaign.
    3. Send email on different day and time and the decide the best one.
    4. keep your email to minum size.
    5. choose carefully your email subject line.
    6. make sure your email is free of spam words e.g. free etc
