Google Showing Different Title Tags for Different Queries for Same URL

Why Goggle Doing this

I came across this in last couple of weeks. Google is showing different title tags for same urls for different search queries.

  • Search for Luxury Holidays and see what Google is showing in title tag (ranking in .co.uk is 11 and .com is 8 )

  • Search for Holidays Direct and see what Google is showing in title tag (ranking in .co.uk is 5 and .com is 7) and we never had this page title

i am not sure how google is doing this but one thing for sure they are doing this to increase CTR, which us great for me

    Unless I’m reading you wrong, the results that are different are AdWords ads and that would mean that it’s not Google making the changes, it’s the advertisers using different ads with the same keywords. Probably split testing to see which gets the best results

    I agree with Ed. Use of keywords by the advertisor’s is the key. Dont bother!
