Background The Company: Luxury Holiday to Mauritius is the tour-operating division of Sunset Travel Ltd to Mauritius.
Goal
Optimization of newly developed website for very competitive keywords such as Mauritius holidays, Holidays Mauritius, Cheap holidays to Mauritius, luxury holidays to Mauritius etc which relate tourism to Mauritius in order to improve the search engines visibility and increase company online profile, market share and reach.
Keywords Analysis
The first step in search engine optimisation (SEO) is to find out the list of use full keywords, it is one of the most important steps in the SEO process because it requires a huge analysis of the keywords popularity across the different search engines, competitions (if they have high potential to bring relevant customers to your web site) and business relation in order to be successful. The first extended list of keywords is composed by 56 set of key phrases as you can see in Appendix A. Once they have been analysed it should be reduced to about 15 set of key phrases for an initial optimisation of the website. The analysis of the competitors will help to find out the competition for different keywords/key phrases and their weak and strong point in term of SEO, some of the competitors could be lastminute, mauritius, mauritius-seychelles and Luxury Holidays To Mauritius. After competitor analysis I will be able do the normalization of selected keywords/ key phrases.
Onpage Optimisation
Based on the result of the analysis of keywords onpage optimization will be applied for each individual web page to increase the presence of the website in Search Engines, while I will be implementing onpage optimization I will use selected keywords/key phrases in different part of the website. For onpage optimisation process I will do following tasks:
• Assessment of website content and recommendations
• Implementation of Meta Tag (title tags, keyword tags, header tags, alt tags, keyword selection for anchor test for internal as well as external linking strategies
• Implementation of Site Map for deep spider crawl
• Robots tags
• Code Optimisation
• Recommendation if there is possibility in the structure of the website
Offpage Optimisation
For offpage optimization I will set up a complete strategy. For link building I will set a target that how many back link I will get in how much time and which way I will use to get those links (internal link building, external link building strategies, reciprocal link building, paid linking). Directories submission will be part and partial of offpage optimisation techniques. For social Media as you told me that we have an in house copy writer I would like to spend some time with him/her in order to design a plan to improve our visibility in social media market. And of course you (Louis) will be there for help and guidance.
Maintenance and Reporting
The main goal of the maintenance and reporting is to track that the keywords in order to determine if they are working as expected and if some the SEO techniques are working for the specific keywords or it needs to be applied on a different way. The maintenance will also help us to keep any of the results already achieved. Reporting will help to keep informed the team about the SEO results and progress. For this purpose I would like to do some reports such as:
• Monthly traffic report of the website.
• Proposal of new SEO changes.
• Monthly SEO results for each set of key phrases. For instance the position in the different search engine for the keywords “Mauritius Holidays”.
• Report of different search engine marketing campaigns e.g. PPC, News letter etc.
